Race Report | ADAC #1 | Bad luck for the Bloody Harry RGS MX Team in Dreetz

At the start of the ADAC MX Masters season in Dreetz, 5,000 fans watched thrilling duels on the challenging sandy track. It’s one of the toughest track in the entire ADAC MX Masters calendar. Because of the very deep sandy dirt you have to ride with a lot of speed all the time to keep the bike steady.

Roland Gyger | Team manager
“It was a difficult and tough weekend for the team with ups and downs. The weekend started with a possible storm on Friday. Direct qualifying went well for Dave and Junior, and Dave collected his first points on Saturday. Because of bad starts, crashes and mistakes unfortunately no points on Sunday. We have to focus on improving the starts. We are looking forward to the second ADAC race in Möggers Austria in four weeks time. Thank you to all the partners to make this possible.”

Dave Abbing | #200 | KTM 450 SX-F | ADAC MX Masters

“Saturday was amazing, a good qualifying in time practice and a 17th place in race 1 on Saturday was a positive start of the weekend. Unfortunately Sunday was not that positive, start crashes and contact with other riders caused two DNF’s on Sunday. Overall I showed good speed during the weekend and this gave me a lot confidence. I was able to show the same speed in the races as I have during training sessions. In the first moto on Saturday I was in 13th position for a long time but lost some positions in the final laps while surviving on this physically demanding track. The bike was great and especially the ÖHLINS suspension worked perfect thanks to Matteo and Nico form ÖHLINS/ÖDTC.”

Junior Bal | #17 | Husqvarna FC 250 | ADAC MX Youngster Cup

“I had a difficult weekend trying to make progress and have fun on the bike. Because I’ve had a lot of injuries lately I could use a confidence boost. More and more time on the bike will help to gain my confidence a little more. The positive about the weekend is that I was able to finish every race without pain. And now I am able to resume my motortraining without any pain or injury. I missed a lot of flow over the weekend but I know what to improve. My Husqvarna FC 250, prepared by Joramo Off Road shop, was good. Next weekend I’m going to race in Kester Belgium.”

Ofir Tzemach| #27 | KTM SX 125 | ADAC MX Junior Cup 125

“My weekend didn’t really go according to plan. In qualifying practice I crashed and smashed my exhaust. This is why I didn’t have a lot of time for qualifying, this resulted in bad gate pick for the races. On Saturday I was still able to start well but I crashed in the second corner and I had to work up my way in the field from last position. During the first race on Saturday a rider in front of me crashed and took me out, so this was not such a good start. Luckily the races on Sunday were better with better starts and finished in 25th and 26th position. My goal for the next races is to be more confident and more comfortable on the bike. The bike was very good and had a lot of power thanks to my tuner Dirtbike from Italy. The next race is in two weeks the EMX125 in France.”

Romeo Pikand| #655 |Husqvarna TC 125 | ADAC MX Junior Cup 125

“The weekend didn’t really go as I was hoping for. In the first race on Saturday and first race on Sunday the riding was good, but I had big crashes both Saturday and Sunday. In the third and final race on Sunday I was hurting a little bit. The positive about this weekend was that I gained a lot of experience and I know I have to improve my starts. My Husqvarna TC 125 felt great and didn’t have any problems all weekend long. My next race will be this upcoming weekend 28th of may in Estonia.”
